This policy explains what the GetHired Capture browser extension and the GetHired web application collect, how that information is used, and the choices you have. GetHired Capture exists for a single purpose: to save a job posting you are viewing into your own GetHired account so you can tailor your application to it.

What the extension collects

• Job posting content you choose to capture. When you click “Capture” on a LinkedIn job page, the extension reads the visible job details from that page — typically the company, role, location, and job description — and sends them to your GetHired server.
• Your GetHired connection details. An authentication token (issued by your GetHired account when you click “Connect”) and your GetHired server URL are stored locally in your browser so the extension can talk to your account.

The extension only reads a page when you explicitly click Capture, and only on LinkedIn job pages. It does not track your browsing, run in the background on other sites, or collect analytics.

How the information is used

• Captured job content is sent only to your GetHired server to create and tailor an application.
• The authentication token is used solely to authorize requests to your GetHired account.
• We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for any purpose unrelated to capturing and tailoring job applications.
• Your data is never used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Where the information is stored

The authentication token and server URL are kept in your browser’s local extension storage and never leave your device except as a credential on requests to your GetHired server. Captured job postings, and the documents you generate from them, are stored in your GetHired account on the server you connect to. You can clear the locally stored token at any time by clicking “Disconnect” in the extension or removing the extension.

Third parties

GetHired uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you; we receive only your name, email, and profile photo to identify your account. To tailor documents, the text you provide may be sent to a large-language-model provider acting on GetHired’s behalf to generate your tailored résumé, cover letter, and introduction. These providers process the content to return a result and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.

Data retention & deletion

Your applications and documents remain in your GetHired account until you delete them or request deletion of your account. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.
